Traditional Foundations
Traditional foundations are an economical and cost effective solution to lay for your build, colwin can design and construct your foundations from traditional strip to deep fill trench, ground conditions and localised vegetation will affect the design of your foundations we offer comprehensive site investigation services. All our foundations are covered by insurance backed guarantee for 12 years.
Piled Foundations
Where Traditional foundations are not appropriate we can design and install piled foundations to suit your needs, colwins can offer auger , steel cased driven and contiguous piling, throughout london and the south east, following installation of piles we can complete foundations from ring beam to reinforced concrete raft, all of our piled foundations are covered by insurance backed guarantee for 12 years.
Tradition / Mass Concrete / Underpinning
If your property has suffered from structural movement or you are looking to extend and increase the load bearing on your existing foundations it may be necessary to underpin. Traditional underpinning requires the excavation of material below the existing foundations down to good ground and filling with concrete. This operation can be carried out internally or externally, colwins can design and install your mass concrete underpinning and is covered by our insurance backed guarantee for 12 years.
Pressure Relief
If your property has been affected by heave (upwards movement) it may be necessary to excavate the ground below your property to release the pressure on your foundations, this is achieved by tunneling below the property to create voids which allows the ground below to expand and contract without affecting the structure, colwins can design and deliver a pressure relief scheme covered by our insurance backed 12 year guarantee.
